As part of his official visit to Ukraine, the U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, together with Oleksandr Pivnenko, the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, visited the training locations of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The American delegation was able to get a detailed look at the training and equipment of National Guard units for combat missions.
At the beginning of the meeting, Oleksandr Pivnenko, the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, expressed his gratitude to the United States for its support and assistance to Ukraine during russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He also mentioned the assistance in training the military abroad and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
He emphasised that the National Guard of Ukraine is an integral part of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine and the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“The units of the National Guard of Ukraine are holding the line in the most difficult areas, performing tasks to protect critical infrastructure and ensure security in the frontline and liberated territories. In the context of the russian full-scale invasion, the Guards keep demonstrating high efficiency, flexibility and ability to adapt to modern challenges on the battlefield,” said Oleksandr Pivnenko.
